Cannabis produces a variety compounds known as cannabinoids, many of which have not been found in any other plant. How many, exactly? It’s hard to say. You’ll see reports that there are dozens, or even 100+ plant cannabinoids produced by cannabis. But it’s difficult to know. Cannabinoids are said by many to relieve symptoms of illness by attaching to receptors in the brain that look for similar compounds that occur in the human body. Some of these cannabinoids are particularly effective in pain relief, cancer treatment, anti- inflammatory, anti- depression, lowers blood pressure, stimulates appetite,and much more. The FDA doesn't regulate CBD or THC and claim no medical benefit.

Now that Cannabis is taking a stance back in the medical field and is ever developing new ways to help with many conditions. Many have started to search for alternative routes of medicating and have started to look to Cannabis to help. Too many people hear the word Cannabis, marijuana, weed and think the only possible thing it could do is get me high. But there are so many other cannabiniods that can possibly help too!  Unlike THC, THCA , CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid compounds. Making it an appealing option for patients looking for possible relief from inflammation, pain, anxiety, psychosis, seizures, spasms, and other conditions without disconcerting feelings of lethargy or dysphoria. Getting back to the roots, the roots of a Cannabis plant is overlooked at times but for centuries people have been utilizing every part of the cannabis plant . Roots contain several compounds of value. Cannabis root contains very high levels of antioxidants , which makes it a very valuable. There are many ways that it can be used, it can be dried out, ground into a powder form making it easier to work with, we use our roots as a little added bonus in our creams.  

The lack of studies regarding the endocannabinoid system is slim but there are some studies being done that show how this system could work.

Cannabinoid receptors, located throughout the body, are part of the Endocannabinoid system which is involved in a variety of physiological processes including appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory. Cannabinoid receptors are of a class of cells.  The two types of cannabinoid receptors are called CB1 and CB2. Both are found throughout the body, but are most common in the brain and immune system. When cannabinoids activate CB1 or CB2 receptors, they change the way the body functions. Cannabinoid receptors are found all throughout the skin. In part, this is because the endocannabinoid system plays a major role in the body’s response to pain and injury. If your skin is damaged or irritated, your body’s natural endocannabinoids are there at the scene.

Cannabinoid tea is an ancient, honored, and highly effective for many different purposes in many cultures across the globe. Polyphenols are a type of antioxidant found in certain foods and beverages, including tea.
